We are very excited to announce we have opened our new tasting room in the rustic barn at RFV. Come enjoy our hand-crafted small production wines in this historic Napa setting. Built in in 1890, this original farm structure still stands as a silent reminder of another era. You are invited to taste some of the best wine Napa Valley has to offer and meet the Reid family.
Bay Reid, the Reid’s younger son, is now the Tasting Room Host and is looking forward to meeting you. Contact him to schedule a tasting appointment at Bay@ReidFamilyVineyards.com
We’ve begun harvesting what looks like a terrific vintage. The growing season has been perfect and the fruit looks wonderful. The recent Napa earthquake broke a few bottles and created quite a mess. Crushing grapes is therapeutic! Happy to share a few photos….
Some 400 participants from all over Northern California and beyond came together on Sat. August 2nd to take part in a fundraiser to benefit the Northern California National MS Society. Organized by Crush MS, 14 wineries poured their wines, local musicians performed, and dozens of hard working volunteers cooked and presented delicious appetizers in order to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis. Participating wineries included Cairdean Vineyards, Cakebread Cellars, Counterpunch Wines, Crane Family Vineyard, Define Wines, Dry Creek Vineyards, Fontanella Family Winery, Humanitas, Jessup Cellars, Reid Family Vineyards, Rowland-Tebb Wines, Silver Oak Cellars, Spelletich Family Winery, and ZD Wines. Further support was provided by Vallerga’s Market, GoVino, Classic Party Rentals, Parker Hall Catering, Off The Beaten Path, Amphora, Full Chizel, Dan Baron Mandolin, The Seasoned Four, and the Napa Valley Center For Spiritual Living. Over $15,000 was raised for the cause.
We had a blast with SFMilkMaid Louella at our second cheese making workshop. Participants learned how to make burrata cheese – a rich and creamy stuffed mozzarella! If you missed it, stay tuned for the next class – announced soon!
With its successful inaugural launch last fall, the Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) generated major excitement from Napa Valley to Hollywood – and beyond – as something really new and very special.
We are thrilled to be sharing our wine at the inaugural Small Production Winery Pavilion!
Watch the Highlight Reel for a taste of last year’s events, which included Oscar-winning films THE DESCENDANTS & UNDEFEATED, special events like the glamorous Opening Night Gala, Celebrity Tributes, VIP Receptions and wine from over 100 Napa Valley wineries.
The first event to unite the entire valley – with walkable festival villages in Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga – NVFF presents an indulgent celebration of the best new independent films and studio sneak previews, elevated by the artisan food and boutique wines which represent the heart and soul of this extraordinary place.
NVFF organizers are actively planning this year’s event, Nov. 7-11, and based on the buzz they’re generating, the second annual NVFF promises to be even bigger and better, while staying accessible to all. Festival passes are on sale now with special Spring Sale savings (through 6/30/12) and Fall Sale savings (through 9/30/12). Napa Valley & Sonoma County residents can take further advantage of local discounts. Passes available at napavalleyfilmfest.org or call 707-226-7500 for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the Festival!
